At that point, it seemed like a cool experience, but would it continue? Didn't know. As luck would have it, the next part of my vacation was on Maui, and I came across a local dive shop in Lahaina who hade a PADI Open Water Certification special. Seemed like a good idea, so I decided to suffer some more and get my first certification in Hawaii. I received my instructions from Maui Dive Shop and my PADI Open Water Certification on Halloween 1997.
I received my PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification in April 1998. Since then scuba has been one of my favorite activities. The majority of my diving is done in the Pacific Northwest, so many of the links are rather local to that area. However, there are also many that are national/international in scope.
The links on this page are for my favorite sites and I make no claim or intent to be exhaustive. I hope they may be of some use to you.

Thanks,
Your humble host
